Amir Khan Engagement – Behind The Scenes With 1SW

The team here at 1SW had the pleasure of seeing their work all over the National Newspapers last week.

The flowers,arches,candelabras,wonderful stage and theming, seen in the background of World Champion Boxer  Amir Khan and Faryal’s engagement , was our work…

You can imagine the excitement amongst everyone on the team when news came through that our designs had been accepted.

Honoured to have been chosen by the Khan family, The 1SW Team immediately set to work, pulling out all the stops, to ensure Amir and his Dulhan were happy with every last detail.

The Khan family were equally excited and fully engaged in every detail of what, and how décor services were to be delivered. They were open to ideas but well focused on what they would like us to do. The event theme was cerise, cream with touches of silver and purple to bring an Asian touch in winter theme. The chosen colour scheme was designed to complement the outfits worn by the couple, fashionable, seasonal mode and party trend.

Due to scarcity of time and last minute confirmation it was a tough challenge but one that we undertook with great enthusiasm.

The result ?

A stunningly elegant backdrop to their celebrations…

1SW  brought together smooth cream panels , stylish floral arrangements , crystallized chain drops,,unusual silver chandeliers; candelabra’s ,Arabian style free standing floral vases, combined with carefully positioned lighting  to create the most incredible impact..

The theme was extended around the room , using specialized material for surround draping, black velvet chair covers, star lit effect lights and lots more accessories drawn from the extensive collection that 1SW hold,back at base in Bradford.

The Khan family have indicated that they were delighted with the results, in fact, overjoyed with the the quality of décor and the service they received  it goes without saying that the whole team at 1SW were overjoyed too.

Everyone involved , from stage to admin, was absolutely thrilled to be working with the Boxing Champion..and his family

We’re at the National Asian Wedding Show, Bradford – This Sunday!!

We are taking our one stop wedding services for a day out…. To the National Asian Wedding Show at the swanky Hilton Hotel in Bradford!

The event takes place this Sunday, 15th January 2012, between 10am and 7pm.

At the show you can expect to be dazzled by all that the Asian wedding industry in this country has to offer – quite obviously, that includes us!

Whilst there, you will be able to see the theming we can create for your perfect day, along with finding yourself the perfect wedding outfit, jewellry, photographers…. You will be able to find whatever you need to make your wedding day the best day you ever had.

I was stumbling around the interwebs, looking for pretty pictures for this blog, when I can across an article about 1SW from a few years back..

It’s an interesting read, not sure who wrote it but pretty much agree.

From what I’ve seen of 1SW , they way they listen to clients, the concept designs they deliver are accurate, ..although it does neglect to mention that they are a great bunch of people, open, friendly and genuinely working to make your wedding day the best it possibly could be.

Agree absolutely with what I found…..

1SW at The Dorchester..

Here at 1SW we are no strangers to some of the most prestigious venues …

one of our favourites is The Dorchester

Built  in 1931, as the ‘perfect hotel’ …..it still holds that reputation.

With a guest list that reads like a ‘who’s who’ of famous people in the twentieth (and 21st) centuries, from TS Eliot to  Eisenhower, Morrissey to Sharon Osbourne, it is the last word in luxury…situated in the middle of Park Lane, with beautiful leafy views of Hyde Park,  it is always a pleasure to work there…

Here is a little video footage of a wedding we worked on there back in May, 2008. Shazma and Omar, and yes, the Bride is absolutely stunning.  A lovely couple, a pleasure too, to be a part of their celebrations.
